We are pleased to announce that Elestor has been nominated for the Waterstof Innovatie Award 2026 with our hydrogen–iron flow battery technology.
Elestor is one of three nominees selected from fourteen submissions. The nomination recognises the innovative way in which hydrogen is used as an active part of our battery technology, enabling large-scale, long-duration electricity storage.
Our hydrogen–iron flow battery is designed to store renewable electricity for many hours to days. In addition, the technology can be integrated with hydrogen infrastructure and can support more continuous operation of electrolysers, connecting long-duration energy storage with the production of green hydrogen and clean fuels.
For Team Elestor, the nomination is a great recognition of the work done to bring the technology from development towards commercial deployment.
The winner of the Waterstof Innovatie Award 2026 will be announced on 6 October during Zero Emission | Ecomobiel.
