Position
As Senior Project Manager, you hold a key position in the Elestor organization. Your primary focus will be coordinating Elestor's product delivery projects (currently one-offs) and managing internal projects (aimed at product development, R&D installations, and quality and process improvements). In the broadest sense, you will coordinate resources, planning, budgets, and the optimization of processes to ensure Elestor delivers projects on time and budget and produces the desired results.
With the rapid expansion and scale-up of the Elestor organization, the team is now expanding with this new role. Although the Senior Project Manager has product delivery as a central focal point, the role harbors key elements of project management (institutionalization & optimization) and internal coordination (operations & people management). The role is about establishing coherence between multiple disciplines across the organization, in which you will be the spider in the web for everything involving a project's organization and timeline.
The Senior Project Manager takes charge of a challenging and varied mix of commercial and internal (development) projects and, subsequently, plays an essential role in the engagement and coaching of project team members. You report formally to the COO and are strongly involved in operational team leader meetings.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Lead internal projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation Initiating and supporting the improvement of existing structures and setup and implementation of new project management structures and quality and performance standards
- Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project work plan
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
- Analyze project status and, when necessary, escalate to revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers
- Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
- Coordinate project close-out and transfer processes, including evaluation, learning, and continuous improvement cycles
Profile
The ideal candidate has proven skills, knowledge, and experience with being endresponsible for completing complex multidisciplinary projects in an industrial development environment (including product delivery). With a background in project- and business skills, (people) management, budgeting, and analysis, you are an excellent communicator and comfortably manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. You are a team player with problem-solving aptitude, and you enjoy coaching and maturing the teams with working in a demanding project environment.
Education, skills and experience
- Professional and intellectual capacities at higher vocational education level
- Demonstrable experience with managing sizeable projects in industrial settings (including product delivery)
- Experienced in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment with dynamic daily priorities
- Experience in developing platforms for internal processes
- Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets
- Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Analytical and numerically astute with proven problem identification and problem-solving abilities
- Strong judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
- Results-orientated with the ability to plan, overcome obstacles, and deliver against project deadlines
- Fluent in English is required; fluent in other languages is a plus
- Experience with working in an international company or international experience
- An entrepreneurial mindset
